The Farun Privacy Promise

Most navigation companies monetize your location data. We don't. Farun is architected for edge-compute. Our GPS Navigator hardware does not track you, record your routes, or phone home to our servers. Your operational data stays on your device.

1. Information we do NOT collect

If you are using the Farun GPS Navigator in its standard offline configuration:

  • We do not collect your GNSS position, speed, or heading.
  • We do not collect your route history, waypoints, or searched POIs.
  • We do not record audio, video, or cabin data.

All routing and map rendering occurs locally on the device.

2. Information we collect via Cloud APIs

If you are a developer or enterprise customer utilizing our online Spatial APIs (e.g., via RapidAPI or our enterprise gateways), we collect minimal data required to provide the service and bill accurately:

  • Request Metadata: We log request volumes, timestamps, endpoint paths, and API key identifiers for rate-limiting and billing purposes.
  • Payload Ephemerality: We process the coordinates you send (e.g., to calculate an isochrone or route) in memory. We do not permanently store or build profiles based on the coordinates you submit to our APIs.

3. Information collected on this website

When you visit farun.one or contact our sales team, we collect standard business data:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, company, and phone number when submitted via our contact forms.
  • Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated website usage data to understand which solutions and documentation pages are most useful.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data or API usage data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. We only share data with trusted service providers necessary to operate our business (e.g., cloud hosting providers, RapidAPI for subscription management, and shipping couriers for hardware delivery).

5. Data Sovereignty & Enterprise Options

For defense, heavy industry, and government clients with strict data sovereignty requirements, Farun offers private infrastructure deployments. In these configurations, our API engines are deployed entirely within your VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) or air-gapped servers, ensuring zero data flow to Farun networks.
