Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Farun's hardware products (including the GPS Navigator), online Spatial APIs, software, and websites (collectively, the "Services"). By purchasing, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Critical Navigation Disclaimer

WARNING: Farun maps, routing, elevation, and marine charts are provided for planning, reference, and operational context only. They must never be used as the sole means of navigation, or as a replacement for human judgment, visual observation, official government nautical charts, or safety-of-life (SOLAS) systems. Real-world conditions (weather, road closures, tides, hazards) will frequently differ from digital map data.

2. API Usage & Licenses

  • License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Farun grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our APIs.
  • Rate Limits: You agree not to exceed the rate limits specified in your subscription tier (via RapidAPI or Enterprise contract). Automated attempts to bypass rate limits will result in immediate suspension.
  • Prohibited Use: You may not use Farun APIs to systematically scrape, extract, or bulk-download underlying map geometries or POI databases to create a competing mapping service or dataset.

3. Hardware Warranty

Farun warrants that the GPS Navigator hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal commercial use for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase ("Warranty Period").

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from abuse, unauthorized modification, or exposure to environments exceeding the device's stated ingress protection (IP) limits.

4. Map Data & Accuracy

Farun's mapping engine utilizes a combination of proprietary data, licensed commercial data, and open-source geographic data. While we strive for extreme accuracy, spatial data is inherently fluid. Farun makes no warranties regarding the absolute accuracy, completeness, or currentness of roads, speed limits, marine depths, or terrain elevations.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FARUN TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, CARGO, OR EQUIPMENT, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE HARDWARE OR APIS.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
