How it works

Road-network reachability, not radius circles.

A radius buffer shows every point within X kilometres regardless of whether roads connect them. An isochrone shows only what is actually reachable by road within a given time which is what operational planning requires.

01

Set an origin

Click any point on the map or paste coordinates. The routing engine snaps your input to the nearest navigable road.

02

Choose contours

Set up to 4 time or distance thresholds. Each becomes a separate polygon, the 15 min zone, the 30 min zone, and so on.

03

See the real shape

The API traverses the road graph from your origin and returns GeoJSON MultiPolygons. Rivers, motorways, and dead ends all affect the shape.

Integrate the API

Use this in your own product.

The Farun Isochrone API returns the same GeoJSON this tool renders. 100 free requests/month on the Starter plan. No account required to explore, subscribe when you're ready to build.
